Grief and loss can be difficult emotions to cope with at any time, and especially during the festive season and at times of celebration. It might be the first Christmas when a person you love is not there, either because they have passed away or due to separation or “falling out”. You may have lost a much loved pet and find some people unsympathetic saying “it’s only a dog/cat – you can get another one”.
According to Elizabeth Kubler - Ross and David Kessler, there are five stages of grief: Denial, anger depression, bargaining and acceptance. You may not experience all of these or experience them in a linear way.
Whatever your loss is, it can be helpful to have a neutral space to be able to talk through your feelings without judgement, to perhaps express feelings you weren’t able to express when the person was there, to feel safe to even feel them and to complete emotional cycles. As well as talking, in biodynamic sessions you will receive treatments that can be consoling and will help you regain your sense of self.
